How To Cancel Your Direct Debit

Need To Cancel Your Direct Debit?

  • Your tariff rates may be dependent on you paying by Direct Debit. If you cancel, you may be charged at a higher rate.
  • Contact us, and we can cancel your Direct Debit or set up a different payment method for you.
  • You can also cancel through your bank or building society. You will find all the information you need in the Direct Debit Guarantee.
  • If you cancel your Direct Debit, but still owe us money, you'll need to clear that balance within four weeks.
  • If you are struggling to pay, please contact us, and we will help you find a payment method that works for you.

If You're Leaving us
 

  • We'll send you a final bill, though we're sorry to see you go!
  • We will send you through a final bill, and we recommend you give us a final meter reading to prevent an estimated reading. If you're in credit, we will refund it to your bank account. If your Direct Debit is still in place, we can arrange to take a one-off payment for your remaining balance. We will take this between 10-14 days after we close your account.
