Pay Your Bill
Bill Support
When you'll get your bill
We'll issue a bill each time we receive a validated meter reading, and at least once every three months. Keypad customers are billed differently — see below.
Your bill shows the electricity used during the period and the cost, including VAT. Payment is due 14 days from the date the bill is issued. If you're on a Budget Plan, your fixed monthly payment is collected on your agreed date instead.
If you would like to receive your bill by email, please let us know.
Bills by payment type
Direct Debit customers will receive an invoice detailing their usage, the amount of payments they have made, and whether the account is in credit or money is owed over the billing period.
Keypad customers will receive an annual statement for information only. This will include details of the dates and amounts paid to top up over the last 12 months, as well as monthly usage.
ESaver tariff customers will receive their bill by email. If you would like to receive a paper bill, you can request this at any time, but you will be ineligible for an esaver tariff and will lose any ebilling discounts.

Pay by Direct Debit
There are two ways to pay by Direct Debit.
- Monthly, on a Budget Plan. We estimate your annual energy costs and spread them across fixed monthly payments, so you avoid larger bills in winter. Read more about Budget Plans.
- Quarterly, on receipt of bill. You pay for the energy you've actually used after each bill is issued.
Your first Direct Debit amount includes the following:
- Your actual electricity usage during your switch-over period, which may take up to one month.
- The monthly Direct Debit amount is calculated on your historic usage.
- Subsequent Direct Debits will be calculated based on your monthly amount and reviewed after 6 months.
FAQs
If a payment fails, we'll contact you and normally attempt to collect the payment again (7-10 days after the failed payment). If further payments fail, we may contact you to discuss repayment options and support available. If your payment fails on 2 consecutive occasions, your budget plan and Direct Debit Mandate will be automatically cancelled, you can contact us if this happens and we will reinstate your Budget Plan and Direct Debit Mandate.
You pay for the energy you have used after your bill is issued, rather than through fixed monthly payments. This means your bill amounts may vary throughout the year depending on your energy usage. Bills are normally issued every three months, or following a validated meter reading, and payment is collected by Direct Debit 14 days after the bill date.
